Mortgage & Refinance Documents

Loan Documents

Loan documents are necessary to initiate a loan approval process by a lender. Some documents that may be required are tax returns, bank statements, pay stubs, W2, and a proof of income.

The exact documents you sign will depend on what type of refinancing you get. Your lending specialist should walk you through the closing process.

Refinance closing documents often include:
  • Final version of the closing disclosure statement.
  • Your mortgage or deed of trust.
  • Promissory note.
  • Your right to cancel.

HELOC

  • proprietary reverse mortgage loans that are not FHA-insured
  • single-purpose reverse mortgage loans offered by state and local governments.
  • Homeowners ages 62 and older, typically who’ve paid off their mortgage
